The Neustadt Festival, hosted annually by the University of Oklahoma's World Literature Today, is a prominent international literary and cultural event.

Often referred to as the "American Nobel," the festival celebrates global literature by featuring readings, panel discussions, and award ceremonies that honor distinguished writers from around the world. It serves as a platform for literary excellence and cross-cultural dialogue, attracting authors, scholars, and literary enthusiasts to engage in meaningful conversations about literature's role in society.

In collaboration with students from the OU School of Visual Arts, Merleyn developed a cohesive suite of digital and print collateral to amplify the Neustadt Festival—an international literary celebration hosted by World Literature Today. She established the Neustadt Design Contest to engage students in public art and storytelling. The winning student design became the foundation for a full promotional suite that showcased their artistic voice while aligning with the festival’s global literary prestige.
